We struggled to find a place that our daughter seemed to thrive. We had put her in a daycare downtown, close to work, and she loved it...but we couldn't afford it. We then tried a local church daycare, and she was only there 2 weeks before we pulled her out...she hated it, and cried whenever we left her (she's not one of those kids).
We then moved her to Day Nursery. She LOVES it. The staff are very knowledgable, and she loves her teachers. The curriculum mirrors the expensive place downtown, and I know she is getting a good education. They keep her engaged and active, and sometimes when we go to pick her up, she doesn't want to leave. That really makes me feel good about the care she is receiving.
My only complaint is the price. We have struggled to make it work, because she is doing so well, but it is $600 a month just for her. We are expecting another child in March, and it's going to be $1600 a month for the two of them. They offer all kinds of assistance for low income families, but we are very solidly middle class and do not qualify for anything. So, if you are very wealthy or broke, this is a great place for your kids! |
