| My son has gone to DHCDC since he was 6 weeks old (now nearly a year), and I can't say enough good things! The facility (he is at Battle Road, and there are two other locations) is immaculate and new, and built with children in mind. The staff is so caring and professional---like aunts and grandmothers to my child, AND with college degrees!!! Yet the tuition is totally reasonable (what a bargain!)
No wonder it's in the top 7% of daycares in the country! I can't wait until my son is in the older classes, because from what I see in passing, they are learning soooo much! The curriculum is top-notch, and they focus on developing the “whole child” which means emotionally and socially in addition to the ABCs and such. Another thing I love is that the center's mission is to provide quality preschool for at-risk kids and also for special-needs kids, so it's a big mixture of children of all colors and socioeconomic levels and abilities. My son will be a "normal" kid for the others to look to, and meanwhile my son is learning sensitivity to children who are different from him and making friends with them. Everybody wins!
I highly recommend DHCDC. It's the ideal environment for any child! Just get on the waiting list ASAP---Everyone wants in!
