Wonderful Virginia Academy is an education Center dedicated to providing great education for the children of our community for Pre K and Kidergarden as well as care for infants and toddlers. | My infant son has been going there about four months now and I can't say enough great things about the staff at Wonderful Virginia Academy. We are nothing short of escastic about the care he's received. Everyone is so friendly and helpful and even teachers from other classes know my son's name.
As a followup to one of the earlier commenters, I also have not seen any turnover with the Director, it is has always been Dunya who is knowledgeable, friendly and super helpful -- both in person and on the phone (when I call to check in on milk or how my son is doing after some shots.)
There are indeed different teachers in the morning and the evening, but I see that as a huge plus! The teachers stay fresh and sharp. And don't forget-- Wonderful Virginia Academy has longer hours than some of the other daycares in the area. They open fifteen minutes earlier than Minnieland and Kindercare and whereas Minnieland and Kindercare close at the heart of rush hour (6:30 PM), Wonderful Virginia Academy is open until 8 PM. That is a substantial perk for our family to have the peace of mind that if we get caught in traffic or something comes up at work, our son is still in good and well-rested hands.
Another perk-- Wonderful Virginia Academy offers part-time infant care. When we visited, Minnieland of Occoquan wouldn't even consider part-time care for an infant. State law requires each infant to have his/her own dedicated crib. Minnieland's attitude was if they were dedicating a crib to an infant, they wanted to get the full-time care rate. Please note, I have heard (but have not confirmed) that Minnieland of Occoquan has a new director now who is more open to part-time infant care.
And one more response to an earlier commenter who said to be prepared for a rude message if you are late on your payment. I've never been late on my payment so I don't have a call to compare to. But I do know by the time your payment is due, your child has already received two days |

| I love this place, my kids have been going here since May 2011, and they love it as well! I have one in the pre k class, and another in the 3s class. They had my child fully potty trained before he even turned 3! My older son knows all his alphabet, how to write his full name, how to count to 100, he knows all his days of the week and months. He didnt know all these things until he started going to WVA. I cant wait for him to start kindergarten next September because I know he is fully prepared for it. They have taught my son so much, they are all very friendly. I dont know about the other reviews saying there have been many directors, because ever since my kids have been there, its been the same one, Ms Dunya, who is so very nice! My sons have the same teachers everyday, I see the same people there everyday when I pick up and drop off my kids. All the teachers are very pleasant, everyone always has a smile on their face. My kids have never come home complaining about anything, and I ask them about their day everyday and they just tell me all the letters and numbers they learned about that day. I love this place! I would recommend it to anyone! |

| My husband and I are proud to give our recommendation to any parents who are seeking a safe and loving daycare/preschool . We feel very fortunate to have found Wonderful Virginia Academy learning center , it is a school full of love, fun and is family oriented. My husband and I, go to work every morning knowing that our daughters (3years old & 5years old ) are safe and have the best care that any concerned parent can have.
It has been one year since my kids have been going to this school. They have learned so much from Teachers . They are friendly, bright, outgoing and active and I owe this all to their Teachers. They treat the children with respect, which makes the children have respect for one another. They also have the utmost patience to teach the children new and exciting things. Our kids enjoy being part of the W.V.A Academy because they have a lot of fun playing with other children.
Great staff, curriculum, and activities. I am definitely glad that my daughters goes here, This is a school where they are actually learning and enjoying it all at the same time.
I would highly recommend this school to any parent for their child. |

| My child was at this daycare for almost 6 months. During that time my child had 6-7 different "teachers' and there was a new director every month or so. This was probably the main problem, they couldnt hold onto their employees. I think the price is reasonable however, if you do not pay by Wednesday be prepared to receive a rather rude phone call demanding payment as well as $20 a day late fee. Other than these things, I was very happy with this daycare. They helped potty train my child and he really learned a lot there. Heba, the assistant director and dunya were dolls! |

| My two daughters are going to this daycare academy .older is in pre k and younger is in 2's .I totally satisfied to this daycare .they are giving satisfactory education to my daughters .I am really happy to their customer service.and being concerned about my kids.I like their always smiley staff.
