Description:
If you are looking for a more one on one experience for your child/children then you have found the right place. I have been a stay at home mother for 4 years and before that I was a CNA for 4 years. Last fall I decided to open a small in-home childcare center. I am CPR certified and a non-smoker. I provide a very fun and structured environment which includes arts and crafts, story-time, music, gym/sports play, logic, science and nature discovery, group activities, and free play. I also think it is really important to encourage learning through play. That is why for early childhood children I introduce the days of the week, different months, seasons, weather, colors, letters, shapes, and numbers. To help and encourage this I have a monthly letters, numbers, a color, and a shape. For the school age children we also work on a math and reading program in our daily activities to help them stay ahead and not fall behind in school. Some of the other weekly activities we do include going to the library story time, music together classes, homeroom and open gym. A big part of our week also includes going to the Madison Children’s Museum one day a week for free classes. As part of your weekly program we also do themed weeks. We take 2 field trips a month to different places to wrap up our themed weeks with some fun and hands on learning. We go on daily walks to get some fresh air and to parks (weather permitting). To help our learning mind grow and learn better I provide all healthy meals and snacks. I feel it is very important for you to have a caregiver that communicates well with you as a parent and lets you know what is going on for the day. That is why I provide a daily summary that lets you know about all that important information and also provide a monthly newsletter. I have several excellent references. Please feel free to call or email me with any questions or if you would like more information. Thanks and have a great day.
