The Kid's Community College FishHawk (KCC-FH) campus was established in 2006 within the FishHawk community located in Lithia, Florida. The 5,000 sqft facility houses 14 employees and 75 preschool children ranging from six weeks of age to five years old and includes an after school program for elementary children. The KCC-FH preschool campus has held an active accreditation with the National Accreditation Commission (NAC) since 2009 extending through 2012. It is also an active Voluntary Prekindergarten Program (VPK) since 2006, scoring 193 out of 200 on the most recent 2009-2010 school year VPK Provider Kindergarten Readiness Rate. Since its inception in 2006, the KCC-FH campus has participated in the School Readiness Program providing subsidized child care for families receiving temporary cash assistance and meet federal work participation requirements.
