Morning Playtime is terrific and Miss Elizabeth is just amazing! I honestly cannot say enough about this place and how wonderfully caring, fun and responsible Miss Elizabeth is. She is like a new mom enjoying the delight of her new child, but with years of experience! My grandchildren, almost 2 and 4 years old just love her! She runs a 3-year-old program, which she presents to all the children, ranging from 2 to 4 years old and reinforces the program by focusing on one theme, and one letter each month. For example, one month it will be D and dinosaurs, the next month A for animals, or B for birds, etc. All activities are centered around the monthly letter and theme, using play dough; painting; a sensory table filled with different textures, i.e. rice, beans, sand, etc. with dinosaurs/theme hidden within; the calendar, introducing day, weather, and what type of clothing is appropriate to wear; they sing songs; and read and discuss stories, which again, are focused on the monthly theme. The inside toy area is small but Miss Elizabeth sits on the floor with the children building and creating thus enhancing their fine motor skills, imaginations, and interactive social skills.
Outdoor play is an everyday activity here with the exception of rainy days. Miss Elizabeth bundles up each child and brings them out to play in the fenced-in back yard play area, which the kids love! She has an adult big wheel that she plays on with the kids, riding toys, a jungle gym, and a merry-go-round, to encourage gross motor skills development. Even with all of the snow this winter, there was a plowed maze throughout the play area leading to a large snow pile for the kids to slide down on their sleds into the middle of the maze! They dug holes in the snow looking for whatever that month’s theme was too!
This is such a fun, nurturing atmosphere for our children, who just adore Miss Elizabeth! I highly recommend you take a look at her Facebook page, at Morning Playtime, and |

We moved from dedham a month ago and our two year old daughter still wants to go to "morning playtime"/"elizabeths house"our daughter has learned so much with Elizabeth in the last year and a half ,every day she came home with new words ,singing new songs and counting to beat the band , she had to take her winter cloths with her when it snowed as they were out making snow men, playing in the leaves in the fall , and covered in paint a lot of days from all the arts and crafts they did (which we loved)
Elizabeth is a very kind, trustworthy woman ,whom we both immediately took a shine to and built up a very honest and friendly relationship ,she give us a lot of great parenting advice as we were first time parents at the time and we use the same advice with our second child.
our daughter would run into Elizabeths every morning and kick and screen when she was leaving so if thats not a good sign ,what is .
Elizabeth has set the bar so high we cannot find anything that compares to her "morning playtime". |

Morning Playtime is five stars without a question! I had heard wonderful things about Elizabeth and waited patiently for my baby to become the minimum age. If I had known about her with my first 2 children I would've sent them too. She is a total gem. My toddler never grabbed my leg at drop off, and to me that says it all. Elizabeth is friendly and welcoming, as is the playroom. She cooks nutritious meals and changes themes so students are always engaged and learning about current events and important holidays. She writes reports to let you know how your child is progressing, and is one of the most creative people I know. She is always open, which helps. She's out shoveling in time for opening, and she has created a maze in the deep snow for the kids to ponder. She creates with the children's hands and feet, creating keepsakes for parents to see growth over time. I cannot express how fantastic she has been. My child is so prepared for school; academically, socially and emotionally, but we will miss Elizabeth's! |

I cannot say enough great things about our experience with Elizabeth and Morning Playtime. Our son started here at age 2 1/2 and stayed until he was nearly 4 1/2. Elizabeth is a completely nurturing, kind, and caring person who is incredibly welcoming to children. When we'd bring our son in the morning, he was never anxious about me leaving and would run right in, always excited to check out whatever toys and activities related to the monthly theme. Elizabeth would always get down on the floor right away to play with him, read him stories, sing songs with him, etc. This was his first experience in a school setting, and it was incredibly reassuring to me knowing that he was in such capable and loving hands.
My son also had great experiences with the other children in the program and formed some very close friendships as a result. I liked very much how themes would change each month and that there was good variety in the types of toys, crafts, and stories were presented. Elizabeth also makes a great effort to get outdoors with the children on a daily basis, even during the cold weather, which I really appreciated. Her backyard is huge and open and all fenced in, so provides a great space for the kids to run and play. She also provides a nutritious lunch each day and our son started eating new healthy foods as a result of things he had tried at school- also a plus!
My son is very attached to Elizabeth and I can only hope that he will have a similar experience in future schools. Morning Playtime is a very special place and Elizabeth is an outstanding caregiver. I recommend her wholeheartedly. |
