I am a licensed provider with 12 exp. teaching in Christian preschools as a lead & asst. teacher for children ages 2 thru Kindergarten. In 2004, I started my home daycare, teaching & caring for 2 - 4 yr. olds. Two years ago, I decided to change my program to only before & after school care. I have a B.A. degree; in 2002, I earned a CDA (Child Development Assoc) Credential; Over the years, I have attended numerous workshops, conferences & classes on child development & early childhood education, plus many First Aid & CPR classes.
I live in the Kingsbrook subdivision, therefore, I am able to pick up children who attend BCES or Tuscarora Elem. Our home is at the end of a safe cul-de-sac, with plenty of room for outdoor play. After school, the children have a healthy snack, complete their homework, and then are free to play indoors or outdoors. On days when schools are closed (i.e., snow days, teacher workdays), I provide breakfast, a hot lunch, and 2 snacks. We have a small, friendly (hypo-allergenic) Cockapoo (dog) and an indoor cat. I have one son, who graduated from Salisbury Univ. and a daughter who attends FCC.
