Hello,

My name is Jacqueline. I am an in home childcare provider. I have a daughter who is 4 months old and a son who is 15 months old. I chose to do in home childcare as a profession because I am very passionate about children and their well-being. I discovered this love when I worked as an assistant teacher at a children's academy specifically pertaining to the physical, mental, and emotional development of preschool aged children.

I currently have openings for one child under the age of 18 months, one child under 24 months but older than 18 months, and one preschool age child 24 months - 4 years old. At this time I can only accept private pay families, although, I have applied to accept Child Care Assistance payments through DHS and I am currently awaiting the approval. My rates are $150/wk. for one child or $250/ wk. for two children. I am willing to work on prices and they can be discussed during the initial interview process. Once a price is agreed upon we will both sign and date a documented form and will each keep a copy.

My daycare has regular hours from 7am-6pm unless otherwise discussed and agreed upon during the interview process. I am very flexible. I am closed on weekends but would consider a drop in for things such as a date night if I am not busy that weekend. In that case, the fee would be either a daily rate of $40 or an hourly rate of $10/hr. depending on the circumstances.

I am scheduled for mandatory reporting, first aid, and CPR classes at the end of this month. I have previously taken first aid and CPR classes before, but they have expired. I am always continuing my education and training and you will be notified of any new training I complete.

Although I am a home childcare provider and not a school or facility, I do still teach children age appropriate concepts such as the alphabet, animals & sounds, shapes, colors, baby's first words, etc. Children will enjoy a lot of free play time as it is good for them to learn to interact with other children. However, we do follow a daily schedule to keep children busy. I feel it is important to keep a child busy to prevent them from becoming bored and acting out. Following a daily schedule also teaches children positive discipline. You can be assured that your child will have plenty of free time but will also not be "running amuck" all day. Also, we participate in a lot of arts & crafts to encourage children to express themselves.
